Biografia
I am Chezny Tavares, 19 years old and I am from Praia, on the island of Santiago. I am the daughter of Cape Verdean parents, both of whom live in Achada Santo Antônio. Since I was little, I have always been proactive and determined. At the age of 8, I joined a basketball club, where I participated in several competitions and won several awards. For me, sports have always been a beautiful form of expression, fun and liberation, and since then, I cannot imagine myself without physical activities such as games and training.
During my teenage years, I participated in numerous volunteer programs, including clean-up drives, charity games, and toy distribution. I also participated in two beauty pageants; in 2017, I was crowned First Lady, and in 2019, I was crowned Miss Achada Santo Antônio in a charity pageant.
At school, I was always a dedicated and studious student. I completed the 12th grade at Pedro Gomes School and entered the University of Cabo Verde to study nursing. However, I had to interrupt my studies due to a surgical intervention. Now, I am planning to resume my studies, with the dream of studying Medicine, which has always been my true passion.
